Russ asks: It is my understanding that if I were in the UK I could only
fly the flag of
Saint Andrews, white and light blue. That only on Royal occasions can the
yellow flag be flown.
First of all, is this true?
The red lion on the yellow background properly belongs to the Queen whereas
the white saltire on blue can be flown by anyone. The convention has been
abused for some time (as have most conventions in this century).
