Sorry Bill, you voluntarily joined a mailing list of people with a common interest to
share information. By definition, that IS social networking. Most are people who are not
professional genealogist but who share an interest in family history and looking to help
other people on the list with their research. Cousin AT (and cousin Bucky) are at least
trying to help other people by providing some of their insight and help. I may not agree
or find everything AT writes about personally helpful, but I won't fault him for
trying to help some folks out.
Sometimes the gems of genealogy reveal themselves is little stories and anecdotes. Best
wishes in your research, and may you find your Scotland connection.
God's Blessings,
Rob

Why don't you folks start a Facebook page? This isn't social networking.
It's supposed to be a tool for researching ancestry. I'm sure we all have
thousands of cousins. I'm trying to get back to Scotland. This forum
is ridiculous.
