Rob;
Yes, there is a Francis Campbell from Nelson County born about 1760 with
descendents that DNA match our ole George Campbell born about 1720 of
Amherst County. We do not know if this Francis Campbell has a DNA match to
Lawrence or Francis Lee until we can find a descendent (male) of Lawrence or
Francis Lee to have tested. Do you communicate with any male Campbell
descendents of Lawrence and Henrietta Campbell - anywhere? Regards BH

Francis Lee CAMPBELL was descended from Lawrence & Henrietta. I
know there
is a Francis CAMPBELL out there that has no immediate relationship to my
line, at least none that I'm aware of.

I know Hugh Campbell was the father of Robert (Fur Trader) and Hugh
Campbell, both of them died in St Louis etc but my mystery is about
their half
brother whose Christian name I do not have but know he married a woman
named Jane.

Cousin Bucky,
I'm not aware of any other living relatives of Lawrence CAMPBELL, although
I'm sure they exist. My G-Grandfather, Herman Benford CAMPBELL had one
daughter who lived into adulthood-my grandmother Annie Mae CAMPBELL. She
is the last true CAMPBELL of my grandfather's line. My G-Grandfather
Herman had brothers who had children-I'll ask my grandmother if any of
those children are still alive, but they are probably passed on by now (my
Grandmother will be 83 this year).
I'm not eligible, being descended from a RICHMOND male.

He;;o Rob;
I had been meaning to ask you for ages so now is a good time to ask: Has
any descendents of Lawrence Campbell (male descendents) taken a Y-DNA test
to determine which group of Campbells that Lawrence Campbells family falls
into?I do not recognize a name on the Campbells Y-DNA chart to be a
descendent of his. Thanks BH

Cuz Rob;
Thanks - It would be great if we could find a descendent to take the Y-DNA
test. That would settle a lot of questions. If you can find a descendent
I
am sure I can get enough interest from our Campbell clan to fund the
test..
There are 4 Campbell families in Louisa County in the 1930 census. Wonder
if any of them are descended from Francis Lee?> Thanks BH?
