Leland Gerold Campbell
Campbell, Leland Gerold Age 89 of Plymouth. Beloved husband, father, grand- father and
great-grand- father. Born September 8, 1922 in Alton, IA. Survived by his loving wife of
67 years, Doris Lukanen Campbell; son, Gary (Heddy); daughter, Linda (David) Lippitt;
grandchildren, Scott and Nicholas Campbell, Jennifer Jordan, and Erica Lippitt; great-
grandsons, Tristan and Cristian; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents,
Ezra and Agnes; brothers, Floyd, Virgil, Donald, and sister, Clara Mae; and grandson,
Jason Campbell. He enjoyed foremost spending time with his family, fishing, bowling,
domestic and international travel, a good debate, a good joke and a good pun. A member of
IATSE and Clan Campbell. He spent over 40 years in the motion picture industry with
Columbia Pictures, 20th Century Fox, MGM and Paramount Pictures. As a charter member of
St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church in Plymouth, he worked with mission pastor Ralph
Loges and others to establish the congregation. Special appreciation to Park Nicollet
Methodist Hospital Home Hospice for the care, comfort and joy they provided Lee. Service
Thursday 11:30 AM with visitation 1 hour before at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church,
17205 Co. Rd. 6, Plymouth. Interment Crystal Lake Cemetery. Washburn-McReavy Strobeck
