My ggrandfather is Andrew J. Campbell of Mansfield Ct. There has been an
error in recording his birth in the Mansfield records. I have been told by
others searching the family too, that he was the son of Alanson Campbell
and Celia Grossman. Alanson shows two children born in Mansfield and others
born in New York.. Several people have contacted me stating that Andrew,
in their family tree, was born in Mansfield Connecticut. If you have any
proof of this I would be appreciative of the information. My brother, the
only living male will not do the DNA test. He is dying too so it is too
late for me to get his DNA. Jean bunch Original Message -----

I had my brother's DNA tested to the 67 marker level. At that
level
everyone was a Stewart, not a Campbell. Our name is Campbell. I can
trace our Campbell's back to Andrew Campbell of Mansfield, CT. It
would be interesting to see the DNA results from another descendant of
Andrew Campbell.
I believe Andrew was the immigrant. I'd like to know if the Stewart DNA
appeared in Scotland or America.
