Hi list,
I'm new to this list and I do hope there is someone out there who can help me.
My gggg grandfather was George W Campbell, b abt 1833 in MS. The most I know of this man
is that he ended up in Anderson County TX before 1852. He married a woman named Martha B.
EVANS in Dec of 1852 b abt 1834 FL. They had 4 children; Flora Elizabeth (my ggg
grandmother) b 9-2-1853 in Anderson Co., TX, P.A.A b abt 1856 Anderson Co., TX, Charles M.
b abt 1859 Anderson Co., TX and Wilson L. b abt 1862 Anderson Co., TX.
My ggg grandmother was said to be quite a bit Indian. My grandmother remembers her, and
said she was scared of her. I dont know if both of her parents were of Native American
ancestry or just one. This family has been told of these Indians in the family since the
early 1900's. Wheather they were or not, really doesnt much matter to me, I just want
to know who they were.
Genealogy has become an addiction for me, sure glad it's not illegal, because I cant
see myself giving it up too soon or very easily.
If anyone can connect with me this would be GREAT, even if you cant connect, perhaps you
can tell me HOW to find my CAMPBELL in MS. It has so many counties and with no Soundex I
dont even know where to begin.
Thank you for your time,
Sharla
