Dear Friends,
Hello. I researching the family of John Campbell, born in Scotland
c.1820 and died, to my knowledge in MI, c.1904. John and his birth family
first immigrated to Canda, and much of the family stayed there, although I
only have later place names. Among them, London Ont, Windsor Ont, Hamilton
and Strathroy.
John siblings included:
William, married Betsy Kintyre, children: John, Mrs. OJ James, Mary
Donald, married? children: D.B.,?, and Dan
Duncan, never married
Jane
Emily, married Archibald Campbell, children: Aggie Reed
John himself married twice. His first wife's last name was Bannon or
Banning. They had two children Duncan and Gertie. Duncan married Sarah
Beaton, and they had at least a son and a daughter. Later John married
Catherine (Beaton) Beaton, who was the widow of John Beaton. She already
had a son and a daughter, John and Jennie. Together John and Catherine had
four children Emily, Isabelle, Roderick and William. In 1888 they moved to
East Tawas Michigan. Roderick married Anna Rundle and had a daughter
Isabelle and a son R. Donald, and William married Mamie North, and had a
daughter Alberta and a son Rod. Both families lived in Youngstown OH. The
two daughters had no surviving children. I have additional information on
the descendents of John's siblings but few firm dates before 1867. I have
photos of John and Catherine and their family which I would be happy to
reproduce for any cousins out there. My second cousin, John Campbell, and
I are working on this together. Any information on this family will be
greeted with glee.
Thank you,
Elizabeth
