New lister seeking other descendants of Wm Campbell born 11 March 1860 in Scotland and
married in NJ or Philadelphia abt 1879 to Anna or Mary Clime (Kline), dau of Samuel Clime,
a butcher in Medford, Burlington Co, NJ. Does anyone have page number from census index
of Wm Campbell's household in 1860 or 1870 or 1880 in Philadelphia with which I can
order a full printout of the census record? His family died in the 1918 flu and they are
buried in Woodlands Cemetery in Philadelphia on the Clime plot with his inlaws. The 6
children who died earlier are not buried with the parents and have not been found. His
last child, Martha Campbell, had two daughters before dying in 1918 flu with a third
daughter. Martha was married to Harry Lincoln Swavely.
All of the above information obtained from Wm Campbell's death certificate and the
1910 census of Darby Borough, Delaware Co, Pa. At time of his death on 29 Nov 1918, he
lived as a widower at 5033 Chancellor St in Philadelphia and was shown as an accountant
whose parents were born in Scotland. His wife's parents are shown as father born in
Scotland, mother born in New Jersey and Martha herself born in Gloucester, NJ. Martha was
born 7 Oct 1891 and died 3 Oct 1918 at 905 Pine Street in Darby and is buried in Mt Zion
in Darby in common grave with her young dau who also died of the flu in Oct 1918 - not
enough coffins.
Thanks for any help with this family, Margaret in Norfolk, Va
