I did not catch the show last night on the Discovery Channel but I would
like to see it.
I went to
Discovery.com and did a search.
The results are:
Castle Ghosts of Scotland

Tap into the energies of three haunted castles: Glamis with its strange

Take a journey rich in mystery and ancient lore, where wailing banshees are
heard and ghosts slip in and out of the living world. Visit castles haunted
by a silver-hoofed phantom horse, a wandering monk, the eerie Red Lady and a
headless ghost.

Subject: Discovery special
Did anyone see the special last night on the Discovery Channel about the
Scottish Ghosts/Castles? I did and it was surprising how much history was
told
in this special and very few ghosts.
I did learn a bit about the Clan CAMPBELL and Clan DONALD, both in my tree,
and how they apparently hated each other. How in the world did they survive?
I
mean, the women must have been the stronger of all of them because they had
the babies and they didn't fight, or at least I don't recall reading
anything
about the women in the clans fighting. Although, some of them probably did
stand by their man so to speak.
The first part was about Fortingal Castle and the piper that haunts the
castle. They found his bones and it supported the fables that have come down
in the families about his hands being cut off, but they say he still haunts
because he was given an Episcopalian funeral and not a Roman Catholic
funeral
when they buried his bones.
It was a very interesting show, just curious if anyone from Clan Campbell
watched. :^)
