Hi Debbie,
I have to wonder if those three brothers(?) had other brothers in South Africa, Australia,
Canada, New
Zealand and on and on. Sounds just too strange. Scots were well known for being the
first into battle
trying to sort out everyone's problems regardless where on the globe it took them.
Have you tried looking up the ship manifests? If you know an approximate date he came to
New York the
manifest will show where in Scotland or Ireland he came from.
Good hunting.

Subject: General Question
I had someone tell me today that the first Campbells here in the US
were 3 brothers. One brother came
to Georgia, one to New York and I think one to
NC. Is this really true?
I have been researching my Campbell line for years and am having absolutely no luck
getting back beyond
my great great grandfather Campbell (George Campbell, born 1886
in New York). I am at a complete loss of
where to go next!
