Dear Anne and Jean,
I've spoken with both of you regarding this same family before. However, I
think that there may be some new info that I will pass on now. I just ran a
new search engine regarding the family of John Campbell, Sr., who was in the
Hamilton Co., OH area, and had a slew of children before he drowned in the
1820's. I have already connected with a cousin from Samuel(proven), and a
cousin of Lewis(proven), two of the children of John, Sr. Now John, Sr.
also had children by the names of Josiah, Isabella, Hannah, John, Sarah,
Henry, Mary, and Francis(that we know of). Lewis was married to Rachael
Day, whose father was Samuel. Well, guess what? I found a Samuel Day,
Hannah Campbell, Josiah Campbell, and yes a James Campbell all in Preble
Co., OH-just north of Hamilton, seperated by Butler Co.!!! Anne, this may
be your James, who was married to a Caroline Deniston on 11-28-1844. Don't
know if this date fits your timeline or if he is related to this same
family? Just thought I'!
d pass it along. This is the first time I have found a Josiah and Hannah
Campbell that area in the time range I'm looking for. I think that we may
be starting to get a break. I still have hope and intend to dig even
deeper. Keep in touch. I think you have my direct email.
Jane
