My Campbells are from Giles County, Tennessee, and as far as I know TJ was
both born and died there. He married Mary Campbell, daughter of Joab
Campbel
l, who just appeared in Middle Tennessee around 1810.
The father of Thomas Jefferson was Hugh Campbell who 'just appeared' around
1808, married Elizabeth Phillips and then Mary Jane Snipes.
Any of these names mean anything to you? Sure hope so.
