A warning: No proof hsa been found in Scotland of Duncan or in Ireland of
any marriage between Duncan and Mary McCoy. There is, I beleive, proof of
Grace Hay's marriage.

Subject: info received from Lawrence Co. Library: Duncan's family
This file info comes from Sharon, email historical(a)wwd.net. I copied
from
it at library. It says that Duncan Campbell was born in Argyleshire,
Scotland, and married 1612, to Mary Mccoy. Duncan and wife moved to
Londonderry, Ireland in 1612. They had a son, John, born in 1674, in
Londonberry. This John married Grace Hays in 1655; daughter of Patrick
Hay.
Their first child was Robert Campbell, born 1655. Second child was
Patrick
Campbell. The first son, Robert was married, spouse unknown here.
Robert
emigrated to VA in 1669 and settled in Orange County. (My note; perhaps
his
wife was Margaret). Their children were: 1. John Campbell. 2.
Hugh
Campbell. 3. Charles Campbell. Number three son, Charles, was born in
1704 and in 1739, married Mary Trotter. Charles died in 1778. They have
about six sons listed here, all unnamed except for William, born in 1754
and
died in 1822. Two or three daughters, Margaret named, married to
Col.
Arthur Campbell, who was born Nov 3, 1754 and died Aug 8, 1811 in
Middlesboro, KY. Col. Arthur Campbell had married his cousin. He was one
of the most distinuished pioneers in the Southeastern Kentucky. Children
of Arthur and Margaret: 1. William Campbell. 2. John B. 3. Charles
Lewis. 4. Arthur Lee. 5. James, 6. Elizabeth. 7. Margaret. 8.
Mary.
9. Jane B. 10. Martha C. 11. Ann Augusta. 12. Son
Campbell.
John B. #2 child, died Aug 28, 1814. He had been commissioned a Lt., 19th
inf, US Army, Mar 12, 1812. Promoted to Col. in 1814, April 9. He had
commanded right wing of the army under Gen. Winfield Scott.
This goes on with oher family info, Anyone interested, I could perhaps
write it for you. Lana
