Hi Fred,
I do have a will for a James Campbell with administrator's bond; this is in
1853 however. JAMES CAMPBELL-----Book 13, Page 239--------Adminstrator's
Bond---Nancy, John P. Robert P. Campbell and Shelton H. Wright and Edwin S.
Campbell, Oct. 17, 1853, for Nancy Campbell.
September 19, 1853 probated. Witnesses; William H. Wright, Benjamin
Taliaferro. Son, James, who died in Kentucky----his three children.
Marcellus, Nathaniel and Perlina Melvina Campbell-----all infants. My wife,
Nancy; all of my children.
This is the only James Campbell will in this book, now, there may be more
books with more wills, I don't know.
Someone asked me where I got this book? The Southern Historical Press in
South Carolina sells them. They are lovely books, hard bound and take lots
of wear and tear!
Bonnie

Dear Bonnie,
If you have the Wills of Amherst Co. before you, would it be possible to
have
you check for any wills of James Campbell. We have two and maybe
three
generations of James Campbells in that area. (1700 to mid 1800). Thank
you
so much.
Sincerely,
Fred Thoni
