Hello Kathleen,
As far as i have gone back on the Guthrie name is about 1795ish.
And that was in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumberland, England.
The Campbells came from Wigtownshire and I have gone back to about 1750?
Kind regards
Pamela

Hello List,
Do someone have MARY COPELAND CAMPBELL
In their Tree Please?
My Grandfather Andrew Wilson Campbell born 1887 in Walker, Newcastle upon
Tyne, England. UK.
Had a Older sister named Mary Campbell She was born between 1884 and 1885 in
Walker, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. UK.
Her name could have been Mary Isabella Campbell born March Quarter 1884 or
Mary Copeland Campbell born March quarter 1885.
Mary Campbell was the daughter of Andrew Campbell and Isabella Guthrie, so a
possibility her name could be Mary Isabella middle name the same as her
mothers christian name or Mary Copeland after her Great Grandmother and
Isabella's Grandmother Mary Copeland.
I would think Mary was named after her Great Grandmother though, as Marys
brother my Grandfather Andrew Wilson Campbell has the same middle name as
his Great Grandmothers maiden name which was Wilson.
I also think that Isabella Guthrie was very close to her Grandmother Mary
Copeland nee Wilson.
Do anyone have her in their tree please, I found a Mary Copeland Campbell
marriage in 1909 in Newcastle T.
There are two possibilties to whom she married.
Edwin Charles Hamilton Or Thomas Watson.
Thank you in advance for any Information I might recieve.
Kind Regards
Pamela J Groves
Hello Listers,
Have you A HUGH CAMPBELL AND MARION PATERSON in you tree please?
Their son William Campbell born about 1791 in Stranraer, Wigtownshire,
Scotland.
Married Janet Campbell don't know when though,
Probably between 1820 - 1841.
Janet Campbell born about 1798 in Kirkcolm, Wigtownshire, Scotland. She was
the Daughter of ANDREW CAMPBELL AND JANET McNEISH
I have a feeling that HUGH CAMPBELL AND ANDREW CAMPBELL were brothers?
And that William and Janet were first cousins.
They did not have any children to my knowledge?
If they did they could have died in infancy as when both William and Janet
Campbell died it was a cousin in law that registered their death.
William Campbell died at Trade Street, Stranraer, Wigtownshire, Scotland on
29 September 1862.
And Janet Campbell died at 9, Trade Street, Stranraer, Wigtownshire,
Scotland on 2 November 1882.
Thank you in advance for any information I might receive.
Kind Regards
Pamela J Groves

ARE YOU SERIOUS! Oh that would be so absolutely wonderful!!! I can even
make it easier. I know the plot #.
Branham, Charles B, d. 03/23/1864, Confederate States Army, PVT, Plot:
20 0 4580, bur. 03/23/1864
The records show it as Charles B, but when I looked up a copy of the
actual original record everyone in the library agreed with me that it is
Charles P (for Porter) Branham--I was a little loud for the library that
day. I had found him after a 20 year search!
Campbells, I'm looking for a couple myself.
Mahala L. Campbell b. August 31, 1835 in MO d. aft Jan 1920 in Tamaha,
Haskell, Oklahoma, USA. She married September 30, 1858 in Yell Co., AR
John Henry Dilday (who may have been part native american) b. May 18,
1840 Dade co., MO d. August 01, 1918 Tamaha, Haskell, Oklahoma, USA.
total brick wall there
Just found out this Campbell this summer.
Nancy Campbell b. 1818 NC d. aft 1860 md. Charles Jason Dilday b. 1813
Georgia d. October 03, 1849 Dade Co., MO.
Charles and Nancy are the parents of John Henry Dilday, so I feel Mahala
is some how related to Nancy.
Jan who has all sorts of brick walls going on in OK

Hello from Missouri....
I live about 20 min from Jefferson Barricks, if you would
like I could run over and try and locate the grave site and
email a picture of the headstone, or cross, as many of them are marked that
way.
I am also searching my brick wall Campbells from
Franklin County, Bath area.

Does anyone have info on the Branam/Branhams who went to
Missouri from Campbell County,TN in the early 1830's?
James Branam Sr and his siblings.. He had a daughter Letha and a
son James Jr plus many more but I would like to know if anyone would
have his brothers and sisters... Letha married James Campbell who
were my Great Grandparents..James' Dad was Sampson David
Campbell who married Rachel but I can not find out what Rachel's
family name was.. Sampson David was my GrGr Grandfather...
Thanks.....
Sara Campbell Fitch
I checked my files for your James and Letha and did not find them.
However, I'd look closely at the family I'm about to list because the
migration trails and names are so similar.
My 2 g grandfather Charles Porter Branham was born in 1833 in TN (not
sure of the county)to Nathaniel and Mary(?) Branham. I only know of a
few of his siblings and it is a good possibility that your James could
be one of them.
Nathaniel Branham b. abt 1788 VA d. March 17, 1876 Ritchey, Newton Co.,
MO md. Mary ? b.1787 VA d. prob 1860-1870 and prob in MO. They married
August 10, 1809 in Germanton, Stokes, NC USA
Children:
1. Noah Branham b. 1811 NC d. bef 1870 in Lawrence Co., MO md. Margaret
Wyatt.
2. Nancy Branham b. 1813 d. ? md. Unknown White
3. William Wilson Branham b. 1817 TN d. aft 1880 md. Matilda Williams
4. Daughter Branham b. abt 1825 d. ?
5. Charles Porter Branham (my ancestor) b. 1833 TN d. March 23, 1864 in
Gratiot State Military Prison, Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, Missouri,
USA (prisoner of war in Civil War). He's buried in the national cemetery
there, sure wish I had a photo of the grave. He married Ellen Burnetta
Forester abt 1859.
As you can see there are huge gaps in between child 3 & 4 and 4& 5 in
birth years. Most uncommon for back then with an average of a child
every two years. If you turn up anything on any more siblings for my
Charles Porter Branham I'd love to have the info. Jan who just found
when Charles Porter died this summer after a 20 year search in OK
