Where do your Campbells come from in Canada? Mine come from Arygle and
Freeport Nova Scotia. Alesander, John, Benjamin, Herbert Campbell. Any connection?

One of the easiest ways to find the parents of a recent ancestor is to
send for the death certificate. This depends on whether the person the
provided the information about the deceased knew more about the person.
It's worked well for me in the past.

Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone is having a nice day.
I was wondering if my family looks familiar to anyone. I'm at a road block
here.
Jacob Campbell b. 1820 PA. His parents were born in Ireland. He married
Jane unknown b. 1821 Wales. They had the following children.
All were born in Pennsylvannia
William - 1845
John -1847
Catherine - 1849
Elizabeth - 1850
Roselia - 1851
Julian - 1852
Mary - 1856
Rebecca/Annie - 1860
In 1850 the were living in Cambria, Cambria Co, PA. In 1860 they were living
in BlackLick, Cambria Co, PA. In 1870 they were living in Bear Grove Twp,
Fayette Co, IL. And in 1880 they were living in Lebanon, St. Clair Co, IL
Any connections or help would greatly be appreciated
Thank You
Patti
Hi,
I'm looking for other Campbell researchers tracing their family in Wentworth County, Ontario.
I've just started my search there for Henry F. Campbell and his family. What I've noticed is that there are A LOT of Campbell's residing in this area. Would someone know if these families were related in some way, or were they from different clans and families; just coincententally landing and living in the same county with the same surname?
I have no idea how to start sorting out just the pages of Campbell's buried in Wentworth County cemeteries alone, on http://www.islandnet.com/ocfa/
At the moment, I have Henry's father as George Campbell, mother may be Fanny. Henry b. 1844 (could also be March 1850, per the 1900 census) b.in Ontario. Married Mary Jane Durfey (whose family I have found much info on) on January 22, 1868 in Wentworth County. The couple had John F. b. December 27, 1872 in Hamilton, Wentworth County, Ontario. All the other children I've been able to find were born after the family immigrated to Michigan. By the 1900 census, Henry and Mary Jane had 8 children born, 6 who survived. So, I have a feeling more children were born to this couple in Wentworth prior to their immigration. They immigrated 1878-1881 (differing accounts of this event in census records), but I can't find the family in the 1880, US census, nor the 1881 Canadian census. It's a mystery?
I'm hoping that there are other Campbell researchers out there who have been tracing their kin living in Wentworth County, who might connect to mine.
Thanks,
~Michelle
Where in Michigan did your family migrate? Is your family
from Ireland or Scotland? Maybe England? Ummmm.

Still searching for the parents of Jane Campbell b March 1797 Virginia, married in Sept of 1819 in Mercer County, Ky to Ephraim Smith.
The father of Jane may have been David Campbell, also living in the Mercer County area at the time, would anyone have any record? Also searching for siblings of Jane Campbell Smith.
Ephraim and Jane {Campbell} had one son named Hugh C. {Campbell?} Smith, among others. Ephraim and Jane moved to first Washington Co., Indiana in the 1820's, then further north to Pulaski and Fulton Co's of Indiana.
Would anyone have any records of the above Campbell family?
Thank You. Judy Smith/Colorado
