Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Can all this junk not be discussed OFF LIST
It would not be tolerated on a bigger lsit site, eg Surrey
We should be using this for Campbell research/queries please!!!

In the past few days there seems to be a few list members who don't realize
that this list is for genealogical and history research connected of the
Clan Campbell. Some have been placed on the "reject list" so that their
mail will not reach the list in the usual manner. If such activity
continues I will be forced to place the list in "moderated" status. All
mail will bounce to me then be forwarded by me to the list and any that are
not proper will be discarded. This will also cause the list mail to be much
slower.
This message DOES NOT require any conversation on list, any comments should
be addressed directly to hesler(a)bellsouth.net.

Your apology is more than enough; please accept my apology to you.
I would like to see more people get involved in their government and
write their congressman whatever opinion they may have and do it on a
regular basis. Our government is run by special interest. My hot
button is the poor support our veterans are getting, or better yet, not
getting.
More military men come from Texas than any state in the Union, yet, the
federal government recently closed one of three VA hospitals in the
state, the third most populous state in the union. The hospital they
closed is just outside Fort Hood where many of our soldiers in Iraq are
from. We also have Ft. Bliss in El Paso and several Air bases. Where
do these men and their families go for rehabilitation? It is a
rhetorical question and one I'm asking my congressman on a regular
basis. Sometimes they actually respond.

Wes

I have been looking for the following family for years. In 1851 it would have
consisted of: Head of Household Campbell (believe William Shaw Campbell, b
Scotland c 1800)
Wife - Elizabeth Car---th YOUNG. She was a wiow, her husband Hugh Young Sr.
"lost at sea" (Cant read the writing of her maiden name except as shown above.
Hugh Young - her son by first marriage - be c 1834
John Graine (Grainbhe ) Campbell, B Scotland 1847 (my several greats gf. He
came to US c 1868.
The william Shaw Campbell if not the father of my gggf is a very close
relative.
Aabove would have been 1851 info.
Any assistance will be WARMLY appreciated!

I have a Wallace Campbell, my g'father, born 1871 in Ohio and died in Ohio in
March 1942.
His parents were Orlando and Emma. Orlando was born in 1833 in Pensylvania
somewhere and that is my dead end. The only thing I can find out is his father
was from Scotland and his mother was from Pa. Any help going back further is
appreciated and I don't know if this is the same Wallace.
