Having a hard time thinking of a XMAS present for that fellow Campbell? Try
shopping at the CCSNA Store. The product list is not online, but it is on the

I believe I have the lineage of the Campbells who came to Oakland County Michigan in the 1830's. They were descended from William who died in Paris, Oneida Co NY in 1805. William married Phebe Campbell (daughter of Charles and Patience Campbell of Voluntown, Ct). William was born about 1740 and served in the Rev. War from Chelmsford, Mass and from Voluntown, Ct. His father was Robert who served in the French and Indian War from Chelmsford. Robert was the son of Robert, the immigrant, who came to America 1719 from Scotland stopping in Ireland for one year on the way.
Searching for information on either of these Robert's and any documentation.

I'm looking for information about John M. Campbell born November 30, 1886 in Perry County Kentucky. He died in 1965. He was the son of John Henry Campbell and Elizabeth Maggard.
Does anyone have any info about the Campbell county Campbell's??
>From History of Kentucky by Kerr, 1922
Campbell County was named in honor of Col. John Campbell, a native of Ireland. He was a pioneer, and had a grant of 4,000 acres of land from Virginia. This tract of land joined the City of Louisville on the South. Colonel Campbell was a member from Jefferson County of the convention which formed the first constitution of Kentucky.
History from Collins' History of Kentucky, 1877
Campbell county, the 19th in order of formation, was erected in 1794, out of parts of Mason, Scott, and Harrison; and embraced so much territory that Pendleton, Boone, Kenton, and part of Grant counties have since been erected out of it. It was named in honor of Col. John Campbell. It is situated in the northern part of the state; is bounded on the N and E by the Ohio river, W by the Licking river, and S by Pendleton county. The river bottoms are level, rich, and productive; the uplands, undulating or hilly.
Campbell County 19th county, established in 1794, named in honor of Colonel John Campbell, a Revolutionary War officer.
Hello A. T. Powell,
I apreciate your help and thank you kindly for responding with your
genealogy. The way that you list it here is confusing for me, so I will
list what I "THINK" you trying to tell me, and see if I have it straight
according to your records. Each number is a generation step, going
backwards.
#1.Henry W. Campbell b. 1855 s/o George T. Campbell and Edy B. Wright.
#2. George T. Campbell b. 1824 d. 1856 Amherst Co VA.
#3. George Campbell
#4. George Campbell
#5. Cornelius Campbell
#6. George T, Campbell
#7. George Campbell, m. Edy Whitehead
#8. George Washington Campbell
#9. George Campbell b. 1713 Ireland, d. 1777 Amherst Co, VA.
#10. Charles Campbell b. Ireland
Now, have I got that correct? I see that the 1810 census at Amherst Co, VA
has listed 1 George Campbell, then the 1820 census at Amherst Co, VA has
listed George Jr, and George Sr.
My gggrandfather is shown on the 1880 census at Temperance, Amherst Co, VA
living with his widowed mother Edy B. Campbell, and his wife Nannie Campbell
and son George Campbell b. 1880 VA.
Please let me know if I have followed your generations correctly.
Best regards,
Lillian Kathleen Martin

I descend from Susie Jane Campbel b. 1892 TX, d/o Henry Campbell b. 1855 VA, s/o George T. Campbell and Edy Wright of Temperance, Amherst Co, VA.
No one knows the father of George T . Campbell yet, he was born 1824 and died 1856, he was only 32 yrs old, and left a widow and small children.
There are several George T. Campbell men all at the same time and place, which make the research difficult. We do not yet have an actual birth record for George.
George's children were:
1. Lafayette Cambell
2. Benjamin Campbell
3. Sarah Jane Campbell
4. Henry W. Campbell
Henry married Nancy Campbell, d/o Edward Campbell, Sr and Behethland Thompson.
They moved west to Ennis, TX and then into Oklahoma Indian Territory as of 1900 census.
Best regards,
Lillian Kathleen Martin
Hi,
I am looking for the following people and info on their ancestry.
John Smith b. abt. 1740-50 in either N.C./S.C. or VA
+ his wife named ELIZABETH something. Could be a second wife.
Children were:
John Smith Jr
William
Arthur
Drury
Simion
Rachel, she married Richard Campbell late 1780's Rockingham-Richmond
Samantha/Smithe-she married William Campbell., Richard's brother.
Both Campbell men were the sons of JAMES CAMPBELL SR. He was born abt.
1720 in VA. His wife was SUSANNAH (LEAKE) CAMPBELL., also of
VA.-Lunenberg-Hanover area.
James Sr maybe the son of a James that arrived here in 1720-22 from
Scotland.
John Smith maybe the son of William Smith of early Cape Fear area and
related to the Hix/Hicks and Kelly/Kelley's also of N.C.
Does anyone have any of these people in their files?
Thanks for your help!
