My grandmother, Mildred Eleanor Campbell, was born in Rochester, New York, to Thomas James Campbell and Elizabeth Amons Campbell. Mildred and her family moved to Vancouver, B. C. Mildred married Amos Dieckmann Stone in Seattle, Washington in May of 1917. I am searching for information about her parents Thomas and Elizabeth or her brother, Harry Campbell or their relatives. Mildred died in 1918 in Vandalia, Illinois. Does anyone know anything about this family?

I am looking for any information on Annie Campbell. She was born in 1875, married William Toon. Together they had 9 children: Ruby, Sylvia, Fela, Odie, Leon, Opal, Orville, Etta and Loretta. Loretta became Sister Ann Vincent. I would like to know where she is buried, when she got married, where she was born, if there were siblings and who were her parents.
Thank you
Jaci

Looking for any info on H.S. Campbell . He is in the 1880 Census of Mississippi,Marshall County, age 48 , born in Scotland married to Marian . Had 3 children: Nathaniel Robert,(7)Mary(5) and Frances (3) Thank you for any help!
Jane Dean and Elizabeth Crump were both married to A different William
Campbell. The Wm who went to the Tennessee River and Kaskaskia is a
coincidence because that is the route that my William Campbell b1793 took in
his life. First living in TN and then moving on to IL where he lived for the
rest of his life. Do you have any more about the Wm who died in KY in 1814 ?
His children and who they married and their childrens names if possible ?
Thanks David Campbell
Elizabeth was born in 1788 in Randolph county NC. This information came from
a 1850 IL census. At that time she was married to William Campbell. They
had 7 children, one of whom was my ancestor George Jackson Campbell. I would
like to find more about Elizabeth, who her parents were ? Were the children
hers or did she marry into the family after they were born ? When were she
and William married ?
The children were all born in TN and the family moved to IL in 1834. I have
heard from other sources that they were married in KY. That Elizabeth was a
orphan and raised by her aunt a Grace Priestly, I presume in KY. There was a
Dorris family living as a neighbor in Wayne county IL . She may have been a
sister of this other Dorris and traveled to IL together. If anyone knows
anything please respond. David Campbell

Website
Industry Lime Burning
" For centuries a "Cottage Industry" it was not put on a commercial basis till 1800, and in very odd circumstances. Let me explain- there was a Roman Catholic Seminary founded on Lismore at the time by a certain Abbot Chisholm. He also founded the lime burning industry to finance the project. The quarry and seminary were adjacent at Kilcheran.
Sir Walter Scott sailed by and made the sarcastic remark that the quality of the lime was superior to the quality of the students. Both ventures came to an end in 1840."

Hi list -
I am having trouble with my mother's line. John CAMPBELL was born in Ireland about 1896 and died in Detroit area in 1957 or 1958. I know he is buried in Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit. His first wife, Isabel MURRAY, is also buried there. She died in 1925 or 1926. We are unsure of her birth date, but believe she was about 10 years older than John. She too is said to have been born in Ireland. They met over here and were married before 1918 because that is when my grandfather, David CAMPBELL was born. Isabel died when their two children were age 7 and 5 (in 1925 or 1926). My grandpa and great aunt (Mary) went to live with Isabel's sister in Canada where they attended school. Her name was Annie MURRAY BRUCE. John CAMPBELL married Rhoda CARSON in the Detroit area and they did not have children together.
My grandpa (David) never asked his dad much about family because he thought he didn't want to talk about it. I have been told that John had brothers named Sam and William (one went to Canada and one to Austrailia, I believe) and a sister who was called "Aunt Sis." My grandpa does not know a given name for Aunt Sis, but I have seen a photo and she was a large woman.
Can anyone help me? Where should I look for information about John and Isabel?
Where do I search for naturalization papers? Who should I contact for marriage license? HELP!!! I am very new to this and this side of the family is driving me crazy!
Any and all suggestions will be helpful. Thanks in advance to everyone.
You may contact me off-list if you'd like. brainstorm(a)centurytel.net

One more attempt to find any possible leads on my dead-end. I will help
anyone research anyone they might provide me with any information on the
following GEORGE CAMPBELL
My first record of George is in 1896 when he shows up boarding in the
same rooming house as his future wife Lillian BROOKS.
In Mar of. 1899 he and Lillian married in Clark County, IN but lived
with Lillian's parents in Louisville, Ky. I believed they eloped since
Lillian was already pregnant with my father Edward Francis, born in May
1899. George would have been 33 at the time, quite old for a first
marriage. It is therefore quite possible he married before.
1900 Census shows George to be born in 1864 in Indiana, his wife
Lillian, b. 1874.
1904 George died in Louisville KY of severe alcoholism. His death
notice mentions an accident he had the previous year in the country in
Carrollton KY when he bit off his tongue falling from a tree. I surmise
he may have had relatives there.
1910 Census lists my dad, Edward with his mother Lillian. Edwards
father is listed as being born in Illinois, just to completely confuse
matters.
George worked at one time for the Louisville, Nashville and St. Louis
Railroad as a clerk. He also was an accountant and finally was listed
as a photographer, a title he got from joining his father-in- law's
photography business.
One other thought: Edward Francis CAMPBELL was probably named for his
maternal grandfather Edward Brooks. Francis however may have been a
paternal family name.
Can anyone help me find George in census of 1870/1880 in IN, ILL or KY?
Can anyone possible connect to this man?
How does one go about getting a copy of the journal if their membership to
the Campbell Clan has lapsed?
Judy
