<< I have run across 2 or three Rebecca Campbells. I know exactly how you
about not being able to find your Campbells. >>
Hi List...I have been searching for a Rebecca Campbell Marsh or Marshall for
some time...I wish that Id found a bunch of Rebecca Campbells! Marsh or
Marshall IS her maiden name and Campbell is her middle name...I am thinking
that her maternal side has Campbells. My mother has a punchbowl that has the
Campbell crest painted on it with the motto Ne Obliviscaris, and it has been
passed down from her mothers mother, which is my Rebecca CAmpbell Marsh
(Marshall)'s daughter. She (Rebecca) was born in 1852 or so and lived her
life in Philadelphia, PA. She married Edwin F Glenn and had three children
named John F, Solomon and Anna Campbell Glenn. Please someone HELP!! Im at
a total brick wall!!!

I stumbled into this site today through my search engine:
It takes you to assorted sites and links. I clicked on Connecticut
looking for a family member and I found in between Georgia: Campbells
and Tennessee: Campbells a section as follows. (You must chose
Connecticut as initial state of search to get to this link)
click on: Campbell Census search.
This takes you to a states listing of Campbells ONLY by census years.
specifically. You enter the first name of your Campbell and you may do
a complete states search or search by year or county or city in
groupings. With your returns in your query name only. Example I got 97
Wm's from PA, 136 John's and by year and county. Each state lists covers
different census some from as early as 1600's in NJ and into 1880's
I had relatives in MS during this time, in Hinds County, at Cayuga near
Utica. My grandmother was Nancy Matilda Campbell, b.(not sure when, about
1865), had a brother named Clarence Elian and another brother named Joseph
Albert who registered for the draft in WWI. There were others in the
family, Joe George was their brother, I think. Their parents were Joseph
Albert Campbell and Bersheba Goodrum Campbell. My problem is I do not have
dates or other pertinent info such as where did they come from, dates of
births and marriages, etc. Any connections to your Campbells? Thanks ,

Campbell's out there? They are mainly from Michigan, the Sanilac

I think I just deleted a reference to a Peter Campbell in Massachusetts or
Connecticut. I have one born to Andrew Campbell and Ruth Stebbins Dexter
sometime about 1750, near Mansfield, CT. Ring any bells?
I am new to the list and seeking information about the life and family of
Isabella and Duncan. Isabella Campbell was born in Elgin, Moray, in 1801.
Sometime around 1820-25, she married a Duncan Davidson, and possibly the
Duncan Davidson (son of Alexander Davidson & Janet MacGillivray), who was
born in Moy and Dalarossie Parish in Inverness-shire, on April 26, 1801.
Duncan and Isabella lived somewhere in Morayshire, and were crofters. They
had at least one son, a Duncan Davidson, born on March 16, 1833, in
Morayshire. The names and ages of any siblings he might have had are unknown.
The 1881 British Census listed an Isabella Campbell, widowed, age 80, and
living at the "Whitebanks Dwelling" in Elgin, however, it is not known if
this particular Isabella is the widow of Duncan. Are there any Campbell
family researchers who could possibly link these three families together for
me? Any help or information you could provide would be very much appreciated.
