I found this note laying about and thought I would share it if anyone were interested:
John Campbell (1st Earl Breadlabane) and wife Mary Rich
Duncan Campbell - Lord Ormelie b. Breadlabane, Scotland m. Mary Campbell of Lawers, Scotland
Douglas Neil Campbell
Can anyone verify this to be true for me?

No Ginny, I haven't in several years. I will need to again. Joseph is
interesting.. going to see if age matches the Joseph near Ellis Campbell in
1860 Missouri census. Thanks for checking for me!

I have a Francis M. Campbell married James Q. Bozeman about 1847. Both
were born in Abbeville S. C. and both died in Gordon Co. Ga. Known childre:
Susan E., Annauzer, Mary, Ellen, Edward C., Emmer E., John J. and Marion
O. Think these are the same people?
Have no clue where Ellis was born. All census records say VA ... so have to
go with that. Ellis was married more than once.. (so was his wife, I am
told. I have not seen Elizabeth Youngs info yet, but think she was born a
Young.. never know tho..)
Ellis Campbell was in Lincoln county, TN in 1830 (middle TN census, federal)
with wife under 26 (same as for Ellis), one girl under 10, two girls under
5. Next he shows on 1840 Reynolds county, MO census with wife 10 years his
junior, a son 7 (Mathew), a son 5 (James Melhandler "Mel" )who is our
ancestor), a son 4 (Andrew) & a girl under one year (Dorcas). I have the
family from then on... 1850 Shannon county fed census shows that Mathew (17
in 1850), James M (15) and Andrew (14) were born in AL. Family says Jackson
county AL... but not sure. I think they may be confused by fact that Ellis
& son recieved Jackson land grants... from the Jackson MO land office. It
would not be first thing wrong in this book.
Any help appreciated.

Hi, Folks,
In April, Genealogy.org was sold to Rootsweb, and consequently we can no
longer send email to campbell-l(a)emcee.com. This was one of the email
addresses that we had when the list was started back in 1995. You must
post to: campbell-l(a)genealogy.org
The list continues to function, although I've discovered the digest is not
being sent out properly, and I've been manually sending them. I've not
yet found the cause, and have not heard back from the new administrator of
the server. So I can't really say when this will be fixed. Those of you
on the digest @genealogy.org may want to subscribe to the digest
@rootsweb.com and unsubscribe from the genealogy.org digest.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience,
Chris

I am searching for Richard Campbell b. 1778 NC. In 1850 he is living in
the same county in MS as the widow of John Campbell b. 1773 NC and
John's son William. William is only two house from Richard. John's
family has traced the lineage to John b. 1773 North Hampton Co. NC. the
son of James Campbell b. VA about 1750. I strongly belive that John and
Richard are brothers but need proof.
CAN ANYONE HELP????

Hi, Folks,
I received the following message from Joe McD. Campbell, letting me know
he was not able to post it to the list. I'm investigating, but thought I
should forward it on so that you would have a chance to check it out.
Please make your replies on the database to Joe, and not ot me, though.
:-)

Looking for information on Samuel Campbell and wife Sarah Hunter. 1850
Census has them in Columbiana County , Ohio near Salineville, Ohio. Looking
for His parents especially.
Hello Campbells,
re Richard Brown's inquiry,
I too have struck a snag researching Campbells in
Jackson County, AL. My great granfather was Richard
Jackson Campbell of Paint Rock, AL, b.1840. He served
in the 55th Alabama Infantry,CSA.His parents were
James M. Campbell, b.1811, and Jane Campbell, b.1810,
maiden name unknown. He was married to Alabama L.
Poston, b. 1848, daughter of Sanford E. and Mary. If
anyone can help with these Jackson County Campbells,
please speak up.

Hello List,
I'm restarting work on our family's genealogy after a one year break. I am
researching my grandmother's family from Jarrow. The only information I
currently have is as follows:
Jack WALES m. ? Kathleen SHAW only known child was John WALES who was b.
6 Jun 1883 (d. 24 Oct 1931 after returning from a sea voyage) , m. 28 Aug
1910 Jarrow St. Peter, Mary Ethel KERR (parents KERR and CAMPBELL, ggrandma
never spoke of her family otherwise) who was b. 13 Aug 1888. Five known
children born in Jarrow, Durham, England. Rene 1911, James 1914, Ethel
1916, Kathleen (my grandma) 1918, George Ross 1920 (d. 1920), Doris 1924.
The family left Jarrow at the time of the march and moved to London.
According to other family members either Jack or his father (?) was a
dancer in the theater. There is a portrait of him that I am awaiting a copy
of .
Any assistance or direction would be appreciated.

My name is Joseph Kery. I am looking for information on William Humes
Campbell. William was born Jan 10, 1829 to John and Martha Ann (Wheeler)
Campbell. He was married twice. 1st wife was Rachel Ann Garrision, 2nd wife
was Mary Jane Campbell (not sure if they were related.)
Both unions produced children.
William and Rachel Ann Campbell's children are: Thomas Curran, Sarah
Elizabeth Ann, Martha K., Mariah Rosella, Mary, John M., Luella or Lovella,
and Florence Campbell.
William and Mary Jane Campbell's children are: Arthur Byrd(my line), Lena
Belle, Uhel Harrison, James Millard, and Alfred Anderson Campbell.
This branch of the Campbells are in Hamilton and/or White County, IL. Any information on these lines would be very helpful.
Thanks
Joe Kery
