I think these are different JOSEPH CAMPBELLs, but could not resist. My Joseph
came from Canada about 1880 or 1884. His mother spoke French, his father
"Scotch" according to one census. He came to Rice Lake, WI and married
VIRGINIA LAVALIER. A son was named ARTHUR CAMPBELL, he lived near Rice Lake
too. I have lost hime at time of immigration to US.

Thanks to all that responded to the e-mail message. I have made several
inquiries to this site in the past, only to receive a reply that the text was
unreadable and that it was undeliverable. Here is my inquiry; my greatgrand-
father,Colin D. Campbell,was born in Illinois on Jan. 07,1861. His parent's
were Duncan Campbell and Margaret Ferguson, both of Scotland. I
estimate that they were born between 1825 and 1840. My father,Richard
Colin Campbell seems to believe that his line came from Argyll. I am a
member of the Clan Campbell Society NA,Ancestry.com and have visited
a LDS center several times in the past two years, but have been unable to
follow my lineage outside the U.S.A. I would greatly appreciate any help!
Although my e-mail mysteriously appears under my wife's address,my
name is Thomas M. Campbell.

Rick,
I have a book, published 1922, on the Campbell clan that filtered down from
John Campbell & Ann Christie union. John & Ann moved from Scotland to PA
approx. 1760-1780's??? Unfortunately, I'm not currently in WA where the book
is located. Three generations of my Campbell ancestors lived in Butler Co.,
PA. Will forward any pertinent information upon return to WA State. Good
luck in your search. Cathy
I am looking for the descendants or any information on my grandfather
Andrew Campbell born 1857 in Aberdeen. And my grandmother Isabella McKenzie
Campbell, born 1856 in Cromarty, Scotland.
They lived in Aberdeen. They had eight children, John, Arthur,
Elizabeth, Christina, Mary,. Doreen, Grace, and my mother Bella Jane
Campbell, who married my father John Jamieson in 1915 in Aberdeen. My
father came to America in 1925 and my mother and two brothers followed in
1927. Would appreciate any info.
Mary
