Lots to tell you, but it will have to wait for some sad news.
I received thoughtful note from subscriber Alice CAMPBELL Prescott about
the loss of her brother, Henry Sizer Campbell, Jr., July 19 in
Menominee, MI. he was b. Sept. 16, 1927.
A nice obit and picture can be found in the July 21, 2003, Eagle Hearald
of Marinette and Menominee at
http://www.eagleherald.com/campbell.htm
and another long article can be found online in the Pestigo Times of Aug. 5.
His father was a son of Wm. Clayton Campbell and Mary Louise Sizer. He
was a son of Wm. Campbell and Helen Peasly. He was a son of Joseph
Campbell and Ann Clinch. And he was a son of Joesph Campbell and Mary
Harper, ancestors of most of us on this list.
Unfortunately, I never got to take Henry up on his invitation to visit,
but did have several good phone conversations with him and wife Helen.
He was a bright, friendly, interesting man - I'm sure I would have
enjoyed meeting him. Cousins Bob Mitchell and Greg Thompson did, and
had very favorable reports. He was very interested in the history of
our family and present cousins. If you read his obits, you will see he
had a full and active life.
I'm sure everyone who had the privilege to know him will miss him. Our
sympathy to the families of Alice and Henry.
