Subject: [CaPaNe] Glidden Genealogy of Possible Interest to Hazlett Researchers
Attention Hazlett researchers -- a new, two volume, Glidden genealogy book is now
available. RootsWeb mail lists are not to be used for commercial purposes, but because
I'm not selling it, or endorsing it, it should be OK to mention that I received a
notice about this book. I haven't seen the book, it's too expensive for my
Scottish genes, but I'll be happy to forward the data to anyone who wants to consider
it. It may or may not mention Hazel Glidden. Perhaps you can find that out before
purchasing it.
I don't know anything about Hazel Glidden, except that she married Hazlett desc. David
"Wilmot" Cloos (or Cose) and had a dau., who may be still living. David died
1956 in Kew Gardens, NY. He was a son of Luther Newbury Cloos, b. 1859 in Middlebury Twp.,
Tioga Co., NY, d. there 1912; & Cora L. Hazlett, b. 1862/63 in PA, d. 1832. Cora was a
dau. of Jennette Carpenter (1835- 1909) and Amariah (various spellings) Hazlett (1827 -
1895). He was a son of Cynthia Hammond (1807 - ?) and Archibald Hazlett (1803 - 1888), who
as most of you know, was a son of Samuel Hazlett & Sarah "Sally" Campbell.
I would love to locate any descendants of Hazel Glidden and David Cloos.
As many of you know there are Cloos/Close connections to the Owletts.
And Jennette Carpenter's brother, Truman, married Mary Hazlett (1830 - 1909), sister
of Amariah.

Include dates and specific places if possible when asking questions or sharing data. E.g.
3 different villages are "Farmington, PA" - none of them in Tioga Co. Make it
"Farmington Twp., Tioga Co., PA" for clarity.
