I hope this will be a useful "first cut" at a process that can help not
only attendees at our Aug. 9, 2008 Reunion in Nelson Twp., Tioga Co.,
PA- but also can lead to detailed lists that can help our cousins decide
to take some stops at cemeteries when traveling through the
Tioga-Potter-Lycoming-Bradford-Steuben-Chemung area.
We can later expand the lists to the whole country and possibly abroad.
There's not much we can do with those who were buried at sea. But for
landlubbers, I have Campbell connected burials as having occurred in
Australia, England, Germany, Nicaragua & Uganda. No doubt you can add
many more countries to that list.
Shakespeare must have had family historians and genealogists who visit
cemeteries in mind when he said "Ay, there's the rub!" -- if I may
interject some "tombstone humor".
Hope you all had pleasant, in spite of possibly damp, holiday weekends.
The 4th of July is an especially big event in Philadelphia. Even more
so because Benjamin Franklin and Betsey Ross (or at least the actors who
impersonate them) just got married.
