I know that its been a long time since i wrote y'all
but have been really busy with the holidays and work.
just got your email and thought I'd write you back to
say "HI" and to say that all is well with me and my
family. In August 2004, I'm going up to portland, OR &
Vancouver, WA to visit family and friends and
hopefully try to locate the final resting place of my
great grandfather Frank Horton...I'll let you know
what I find out!!
Are you going to visit Faith Jean KIMBALL Black while you're out there?
She, her dau-in-law (Ruthe DE LONG Black), and grandson Adrian Kimball
Black live in Salem, OR. I think she has an address for one of Arthur
Horton's surviving daughters. As you may recall, Faith, b. 12/19/1907,
is one of the 2 surviving CCC letter writers. The only other OR cousin
that I've located is Patricia Zurflieh, who's not as yet interested in
cousin stuff.
I wish you could get a lead on Dr. Harry John Horton's desc.
In Washington, we have Roger Hughey and sons in University Place;
Roberta Roberts; and Robt. Scott in Lynwood - and perhaps many more.
Let me know if you want contact info or genealogy details for them.
I'm jealous! Enjoy your trip. Please let me know contact info for any
other Campbell cousins you find.
I look forward to haring about your adventures.
