Betty, Thanks for your reply to my post. I know a lot of people don't
trust social media. I'm fairly cautions myself about what I post there.
And for your kind comments about my posts to this list, the website and
and the tree. I add a few pages to the website each week (there are
about 325 now). It's not very visible to the users, but I update many
more each week -- mostly adding additional burials to the cemetery lists
and links to the mini-bios.
Similarly, I only add a few people each week (the total's now 16,315),
but update many more. Such as adding Daniel Pratt's obit; people's
middle sames; wife's last name; death dates, etc. But I usually only
upload the tree a few times a month. The bigger it gets, the longer
that takes.
And I hope you're right about them lasting. RootsWeb won't delete the
tree or the web pages, but I hope successors will maintain them once I'm
no longer able to.

Hi Bill,
I do enjoy the posts you make to the mail list, but I can certainly
understand that going through all the spam is no fun and takes time you
could put to better use. I respond sometimes, but not always if I don't
have something to say or am swamped.
If I have anything to say, I usually direct it to someone(s) directly by
email or by phone. I don't trust Facebook or social media in general.
If you discontinue the mail list I will certainly understand--but I know
how to contact you if I need to, so all is well.
I continue to be very busy working on all my family lines--which is
expanding all the time. Too bad we can't get a line on Joseph Campbell,
Sr. and Mary Harper's parentage in Scotland.
I appreciate all you do all the time in getting things on the Campbell
online Tree and the Campbell website. It is a goldmine of information, and
something that hopefully will live on forever.
