Hi Bill!
Yes, it was me that typed up the newspaper articles for Joyce's website, but
absolutely no need to apologize!! I wish Betty Johnson was still around -
she could answer some questions I've run into!
Regarding the Bulkleys. Thank you for catching the typo regarding the name in
Minnie Hegmann's obituary - my eyes must have been crossing. I didn't type
it wrong once, but three times! I'll let Joyce know & hopefully it can be
corrected. Unfortunately, Charles' obituary didn't give any family info, or
even his date of death. But it does have a photo of him - I'd be happy to
send you a copy, if that will help.
Regarding David Cook, I typed Davis because that was how the article was
written. But, yes, his name is actually David.
And speaking of Hazletts, I found an unusual newspaper article from 1886
about a boy named James Hazlett - I don't know if he's any relation, but I'll
type it up in a separate email.
Later...

One was an obit for Charles Edwin "Ned" Bulkley. I have a Charles E.
Bulkley,
son of Malvina Doud and Edwin B. Bulkley. Do any of you know if that's the
same Chas.? Edwin Bulkley's first wife was Adele H. Ellison, dau. of Jane
Hazlett
and Richard Ellison.
Further down is an obit for Minnie Hegmann, widow of Charles Edwin "Buckley".
Is that a typo?
Still further down on the page is the wedding anouncement for one of our
subscribers,
Betty Johnson to the late Thomas VanGorder.
There are other pieces on her family -- a Johnson/Sherwood piece about her
parents
4oth anniversary; and an obit for her grandmother, Sarah A. (Kemp) Johnson.
That obit has a typo, Sarah's father was DAVID Cook Kemp, not DAVIS. Sarah's
mother, Harriet Campbell, was a dau. of James Campbell and Mary Blackwell.
David's sister, Mary Kemp (1834 - 1912) was the 2nd wife of Vernon Green(e)
(1830 - 1903). Vernon and Mary and their children Frederick Kemp Greene and
Anna (Green) Signor, and their children, came to several Campbell Reunions.
Vernon's 1st wife was Harriet's sister, Emily Campbell (1857 - 1861).
