At long last, our web site is live. I've designed and implemented
computer software forever. But this is the first web site I've ever
built, so I'm learning as I go. But that's fun.
It doesn't yet have many pages. But it has enough for you to get an idea
of how it will work.
The left side has menu options, a number of which are active and you may
find useful --- especially some links to other sites.
A number of "mini-bios" are active, and reached by links. Each mini-bio
includes a link that takes you to that person's page in our family tree
on WorldConnect. Each mini-bio contains links to other mini-bios. You
can wander from page to page, clicking on links like crazy, and using
BACK buttons or the Return Home link when you wish to leave a mini-bio.
A menu option, 'Interconnections", explains the early interconnections
by marriage between our Campbells, Hazletts, Luggs, and Blackwells.
The Campbell Cousins Correspondents letters will be added in a form that
lets you see what the letter looked like when originally published (via
a GIF file). And it will also have searchable text of the letter. And
where a person's name appears in the text, e.g. "we visited Minnie and
Will yesterday", the "Minnie" will be a link to Minnie Orcillia Tubbs'
mini-bio and "Will" to William Henry Clark's mini-bio.
So take a look, wander around the site. Enjoy it. Bookmark (mark as
Favorite) it so you can easily find it again.
And be inspired to volunteer to help. There are ways any of you can
assist in the project. If you're reading this, you have all the computer
skills necessary.
