((Hope that wasn't considered FLAMING, Rieta!!!)) I think I'm suffering from
the"TIME CHANGE" ...Morning is coming too early for this teacher!
APOLOGIES TO ALL!!!
What's in a name?????? A whole bunch....I once had a student in my chorus
whose first name was.............(THIS IS THE TRUTH!!!) LEMONJELLO
...accent on the second syllable, but still............must've been on the
menu in the hospital!!!
Don't kick me off the list...I'll try to stop LURKING, LOAFING, LEECHING, and
being SLUGGISH and try to add some real humor to the list......You know we
CAMPBELL- HAZLETTS are a humorous bunch.....THE PERSONAL CREST OF THE
HAZLETTS (as I witnessed it at three random reunions over the past thirty
years) .......is.........a............"horse's behind!"
Coming from HORSEHEADS, NY and now residing in OCALA, FL........I've been in
the right place at the right time for those ............in
...............HORSE COUNTRY.
Now serious recollection:
WE IN THE CAMPBELL CLAN NEED TO REALLY KNOW THE SONG OF OUR FOREFATHERS!
Why is it that every slacks of after the initial loud: "the Campbells are
comin', o-ho,o-ho"
(which it is form the Scottish.) When last in Scotland (last summer) I
purchased a great little music book-published by Lomond Books. In it, replete
with every verse imaginable and even an ETC after the reminder of the
refrain/chorus, I happened to notice that the reference of PLACE was
Argyleshire..........and the words go like this:
The Campbells are comin', o-ho, o-ho
The Campbells are comin', o-ho, o-ho
The Campbells are comin; to Bonnie Loch Leven
The Campbells are comin;,o-ho,o-ho. (before-between and after last verse)
vs 1 Upon the Lomonds I lay, I lay,
Upon the Lomonds I lay, I lay,
I looked down to bonnie Loch Leven,
And saw three bonnie perches play.
vs2 The great Arfyle he goes before
He makes the cannons and guns to roar
Wi' sound o' trumpet, pipe and drum
The Campbells are comin', o-ho, o-ho.
vs3 The Campbells they are a' in arms
Their loyal faith and trust to show,
Wi' banners rattlin' in the wind
The Campbells are comin', o-ho, o-ho.
(Still hope we don't descend from the ones of Glencoe infamy!)
