MaryLyn (and all)
That part is normal for RootsWeb Mail list messages. They come with a
built-in "Reply to" value that specifies the mail list.
So when I just now clicked "Reply" on my e-mail client,
"campbell-pa-nelson(a)rootsweb.com" appeared in the "To" field. To send
this reply only to you, I would have had to manually replace that with
"msa440(a)aol.com". That's just the way RootsWeb does it.
But, I think, the problem I encountered, was different.
As to your "don't fret" advice. I do appreciate your kind words. But I
think I do need to be concerned.
For example, yesterday I bought a few groceries, set them down by the
front door to open it, reached in my pocket for my keys --- and they
weren't there. I'm very careful about that, I have a ritual of always
checking to make sure I have them before I step outside. But the keys
were not in any of my pockets. I couldn't just wait for my wife to come
home from work because we had a repair guy coming to give us an estimate
on a job. So, I drove to the next city (where my wife works). She wasn't
at her desk, so I hunted her down, borrowed her keys, drove home, took
the groceries out of the car again (in our neighborhood it would not
have been a good idea to have left them on the front porch), went to
open the door with my wife's keys ---- and there were mine, sitting in
the lock. I'd wasted almost two hours. But more important, was luck to
find our TV, laptop, etc. still in the house. Fortunately no one had
noticed the cluster of keys in the door.
But several things like that have happened in the last few days that are
unusual for me. Individually any one could be shrugged off. But
collectively, I think I do need to consult with the Dr.
The old joke comes to mind: "They call them wonder drugs because when
you take one, you wonder what it will do to you."
PS. But the story does have a happy ending. The guy who came to do the
estimate, and has high ratings on Angie's list, will do the job for half
the price a general contractor quoted. And he starts tomorrow. So that
part at least is good news. Now I need to get things ready for him.
And thank you MaryLyn for being a good friend.
