This past week I've been away being a care giver to a daughter-in-law and
grandson - who are now OK. I used my spare time to do a lot of typing from
the Campbell Reunion notebooks.
I also desided to just listen to our Mail List to see what messages any of
you might send if I was being quiet.
This mail list was set up at the request of some of you to facilitate
communication among the family. We can't meet that goal if I do all of the
talking.
All of you have things you could say that would be of interest -- all have
questions they could ask of the list.
At the beginning, I made the suggestion that you tell us why you joined and
what you hope to get out of subscribing.
Bob Powers co-operated by posting a message explaining that he joined Ieven
though he doesn't think he's related) because of coming from Nelson. He
hoped to hear about it and families he knew of, shared some memories, and
offered his assistance in answering questions. Thanks, Bob.
And Bob may find he is connected -- one of the next items I plan to send
includes a Caroline Powers.
Perhaps some of you didn't realize you could send messages directly to
CAMPBELL-PA-NELSON-L(a)rootsweb.com yourself -- or perhaps you thought it was
impolite to do so.
I do have lots of material to share, and will continue to do so, but the
more of you that make comments, share your ideas or your questions, the
better. The more you participate, the more you - and everyone else - will
get out of it.
Please remember to treat each other kindly. All messages to this list are
archived by Roots web and are accessible by the public if they choose to
search the archives. I know most of you from prior e-mails, phone calls, or
meeting face to face, so I know you're considerate of others and good
manners come naturally to you.
There are now more than 30 subscribers. I know we have some great folks as
subscribers - lets all participate and make this a great mail list.
