I've recently been researching our Beaman cousins. In the course of
that, I encountered a news story about a reunion of descendants of
Archibald and Cynthia Hazlett -- all of whom were of course our
cousins. It appeared in the Wellsboro Gazette of Aug 12, 1937, p3. It
was held in Woodland Park.
Mental exercise is supposed to help ward off Alzheimer's, so why don't
you readers try your hand at identifying who the folks mentioned are.
Just to hgive everyone a chance, how about identifying no more than 5 in
any one message. For married women it would be good to include the
maiden name. For men who married Hazlett desc. wives, it would be good
to include their spouse. Please wait a few days between messages to give
others a chance to contribute. And, as always, be gentle if you think
someone has made a mistake.
Perhaps none of you will recognize all the names. Some are of cousins I
just discovered yesterday. But collectively, by putting your minds
together, I think you can identify them all.
The spelling is that of the newspaper. And you get no points for
telling us that Guy Dewey, Jr. was the son of Guy Dewey, Sr.
Have fun!
