Sadly, I just learned of the recent death of a cousin we've never met,
Frances E. Mathison-Baker. She was born June 23, 1966 in Edgerton, WI,
and died there Jan 10, 2008. Our sympathies to her husband and children.
Her obit and photo can be found at
www.gazettextra.com/obits/2008/jan/14/frances-franki-baker
Franki's maternal grandparents were Frances Elizabeth Redner (1900 -
1965) and Dr. Charles Walter Hazlett (1900 - 1982). He was a son of
Fanny Richards (1860/61 - ?) and Dr. Charles Walter Hazlett (1854 -
1916), son of Sarah H. Bottom (1832 - 1861) and Samuel C. Hazlett (1830
- 1861), son of Cynthia Hammond and Archibald Hazlett, son of Sam
Hazlett & Sarah "Sally" Campbell. So, Franki was Marylyn's 3rd
cousin.
It's sad when someone dies "in the prime of life" and additionally sad
that we didn't learn of her existence in time to contact and get to know
her. But many of her relatives have now been added to our on-line
family tree (which now contains 10,146 individuals & 4,506 marriages).
