I try to play it safe with copyrighted material. So, as a rule, if a
copyright is still in effect, I only post a link to obits, not the text
of them. Perhaps I'm being overcautious, but I've read of cases where
newspapers objected to posting the full piece.

What does this mean?
That no one else is doing research? Or they are doing research, but not
sharing?
Or are mail list such as this too low tech and old fashioned for the
brave new world of instant messaging and tweets?
