I've extracted burial info from our tree, and with lots of manual
manipulation, created a spread sheet and put it on line. I stiil have a
lot of work to do, but some of it you can help with. It easy.
I've put it on our website. See
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~capane/burials.html
or there's a link in the menu on the left side of our home page,
identified as "Cemeteries".
I'm trying to get it ready for the visitors to our Campbell Reunion,
which I hope you all know is July 28 this year. I know some of you are
not able to travel, but I hope to see most of you there.
All of you can look to see if your deceased family members are included.
If they are missing, please send me the burial location info. Thanks.
The part I'm looking for help with is easy. I could do it myself, but
don't have that many hours available, given the fix up work on our new
home. BTW, we are enjoying it very much. Perhaps you can come for a
visit. To us it has an exurb feel, with other homes across the street,
but wildlife such as deer and fox in the back.
I only recently started putting burial lot info into our famiily tree
database. Presently it's there for only about half of Elkland's Highland
Cem.
So, if you could "adopt" a cemetery (or portion thereof) print out that
portion of the list, look up the corresponding on-line cemetery list,
record the cemetery section/lot info on your printout and mail it to me,
that would be a huge help.
Or if you are comfortable with spread sheets, you could enter the data
directly into a copy of the burials spreadsheet, and e-mail that to me.
The spread sheet can be downloaded from our Facebook page or I can send
it to you as an e-mail attachment.
Cemetery "readings" for Chemung, Bradford, and PA's Tioga (and perhaps
some nearby ones in Steuben & Potter)can be found on Joyce Tice's site,
http://www.joycetice.com/jmtindex.htm
My highest priority is for the Cowanesque Valley Cemeteries.
Unfortunatly, the cemetery readings for Steuben and Allegany Counties on
Painted Hills Genealogical Society's site,
http://www.paintedhills.org/
Painted Hills are alphabetical, and don't contain any info on location
within the cemeteries.
