If the wearher forecasts are correct, we're in luck for Saturday's 52nd
Campbell Reunion -- 69 degrees, partly cloudy, and only a 20% chance of
rain. So bring your covered dish, a jacket, some memorabelia, and have
a good time meeting and visiting with some great folks.
Some of our subscribers and cousins may not fare so well. We have
Ellison and Sam Hazlett descendants in the Virginia Beach area. And
many family members in the DC - Annapolis area - including my brother,
who lives within bow-shot of Chesapeake Bay and not may feet above it.
So good luck to them and to all the family in eastern NC, eastern VA,
and DELMARVA.
And thanks to those cousins who can't make it to the reunion, but sent
checks to help defray the reunion expenses: Marylyn Adams, Tom Campbell
and Art Hazlett. Feel free to follow their example.
Lastly, I was at Office Depot tonight looking at a test copy of Volume 2
of the Campbell Cousins Correspondence. It looked very good to me. Tom
Zurflieh was only able to produce covers for 24 copies for this run, but
we'll be able to print more if needed. I don't have the final price
yet, but I expect they will end up costing us around $20 - 25 each to
produce. They are on very good paper. Tom did a great job again on the
covers and hopes these will heirlooms to hand down.
