Some people have e-mailed me about how quiet this mail list has been. I'm busy
getting Vol. 2 of the Campbell Cousins Correspondence ready for printing and
binding; getting Errata sheets ready for those who have Vol. 1; and arrangements
for our reunion Sept. 20.
If no one else has any questions or messages they want to share with the list,
that's OK. It's OUR list, not MY list.
I set it up to be a communication vehicle among members of the family, and interested
friends -- not a newsletter I write. More like a slow motion chat room.
It will evolve into whatever you, the subscribers, make it -- chatty, quiet,
whatever.
Perhaps some of you have gotten the mistaken impression that you shouldn't say
ANYTHING about living people. That's not the case at all. It's just that these
messages are stored on RootsWeb's web site and can be read by anyone with Internet
access. So you need to respect privacy and be cautions about publishing someone
else' phone #, address, birt date, etc. -- at least without their permission.
If you live within driving distance of Nelson, and are coming to the reunion,
please let me know if ou can bring some Sloppy Joes, a large coffee maker, or
a TV-VCR.
