What a sad time for our Mills-Hamblin-Olwett Cousins.
Wilbur Hamblin, Helen's husband, died on the 17th, and now Ed Mills,
husband of her late sister, "Mickey" died on the 23rd. Both funerals
being held in Woodhull, at the same place Cousin Lois CHURCH Hassoldt's
was last fall.
Wilbur and Ed's death present many with the loss of a father and uncle,
or of two uncles, within a week. And for some, Ed was an uncle two ways.
Our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of both Wilbur and Ed.
I held off posting this notice, hoping to find an obit on-line. Last
night, while coming back from a family reunion, I stopped in the Savona
Diner for supper, and found a Corning Leader on the counter with Ed's
obit on page A5. For some reason, I'm unable to find his obit on the
Leader's web site.
But you can find it, and leave condolences at

Calling hours are today, Sunday, at 1 and 6; funeral tomorrow at 11.
Unfortunately, I have commitments itoday and tomorrow and don't see how
I can get there. I only have blue jeans and sneakers with me to wear,
which some might see as a lack of respect.
I didn't know Ed as well as I knew/know his late wife and children, but
our conversations were always pleasant.
He can be found in our tree at
