Many of you know my wife Mary and will be pleased to hear that the
craniotomy she had yesterday to fix a brain aneurysm (by "clipping it) was
successful. They tried to reach a second one, but were unsuccessful. That
one, and a third one, will be repaired months from now by a procedure called
"coiling".That involves accessing them via a vein, rather than by cutting a
hole in the skull as is done in a craniotomy. Fortunately the recovery time
is much less with coiling.
Mary's still in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit and sleeping most of the time.
But a doctor today sais he'd never seen a patient recover so quickly after a
craniotomy, and another doctor said they may discharge her sooner than
expected,
This afternoon she and her sister sang a duet by phone.
With all the bad news the mass media barrages us with, I hope most of you
don't mind my sharing some good news,
This is such great news Bill. My love to both of you and will continue to
pray for her recovery to be speedy and complete. I know that this will be a
great weight off your shoulders. God Bless :)
