Thanks to Gwen Boyer Bjorkman, we have two more Hazletts in the data
base -- Ross Beeman, b. Nov. 1884, and his sister Fay Beeman, b. Feb.
1892. I was surprised to discover they're my 4th cousins.
Their parents were Emmer/Emer Beeman, b. Sep 1851 in PA & Lois
Carpenter, b. Jun 1852 in Charleston Twp., Tioga Co., PA.
Lois was a dau. of Truman Carpenter (1829 - 1897) and Mary Hazlett (1830
- 1909). Mary was a dau. of Archibald H. Hazlett (1803 - 1888) &
Cynthia Hammond (1807 - 18?). And as most of you know, he was a son of
Sam Hazlett (abt 1771 - 1840) & "Sally" Campbell (1777 - 18?).
Truman Carpenter's sister, Jenette (1835 - 1908) m. Amariah Hazlett
(1827 - 1895), brother of Mary Hazlett, above.
And Emmer's sister, Theresa Beeman (1846/47 - ?) m. Frank Andrews.
Frank was a son of Harvey Andrews (1801 - 1868). I don't have any dates
for Frank, so I'm not 100% sure whether he was a son of Harvey's first
wife, name unknown, or 2nd wife, Jane Hazlett (1810 - 1901), sister of
Archibald. But the History of the Beechers Island Presbyterian Church
seems to imply that Jane was Frank's mother. As many of you know, Jane
was previously married to Richard Ellison (1800 - 1842) and had 8 kids
by him.
Does anyone have anything more to add about Ross or Fay Beeman?
