There's a book, Religion and Society in a Cotswold Vale: Nailsworth,
Gloucestershire, 1`780 - 1865), by Albion Meir Urdanik, at
http://ark.cdlib.org/ark:/13030/ft2d5nb1fm/
The book is scholarly, and quite dry, but it contains a map that may
interest those of us who are Blackwell and/or Lugg descendants. It's
titled "Map 3. The Frome River valley and streams" and is found on pg.
38, Part I, Structures of Communal Life. It shows nicely the relation
between Horsley, Avening, Shortwood, Nailsworth, and Bisley -- the towns
where our Clinch, Blackwell and Lugg relatives came from.
At this point, the Hazletts maybe feeling left out. But wait, there's
more...
In addition to mentioning Blackwells, the book also mentions Tombs. I
don't know yet if the Tombs mentioned are related to the ones who came
to Lycoming Co., but it's worth investigating. In Lycoming County, the
Tombs intermarried with Blackwells. One Tomb line moved up to Tioga Co,
where they intermarried with Hazletts. So lots of us have Tomb
cousins. I've been in touch with some of our Tioga Co., Tomb cousins,
and many of you may know some of them.
