After giving it more thought, it seems like the post script to "Georgie"
suggest that Emma was his "ma", and the main part suggest that Emma
didn't still live with her parents.
I found an envelope (with the top and one side open) full of old letters
that had once been in the possession of Emma CONGDON Buck and were
passed on to my mother by Emma's daughter, Myra Arline BUCK Seiders.
The way Inez letter was folded was consistent with the way the other
letters were folded to fit in the envelope Myra sent. So, I think it's
reasonable to conclude that Inez' letter was to Emma CONGDON Buck and
her son, George Leroy Buck and had fallen out of Myra's torn envelope.
George later had a publishing company and printed and bound volumes 3
and 5 of the Campbell Cousins Correspondence.
I'll shortly send out Myra's cover letter and start on the other
enclosures. Most are from Phebe CAMPBELL Hoyt. One is from Elizabeth
CAMPBELL Hughey. I think you'll find them useful in breathing some life
into our understanding of the people and their times.
