County Convention at Tioga on Monday.

The Republican Convention was held at Tioga on Monday afternoon,
convening in Wickham Hall. County Chairman J. E. Hazlett, of Nelson,
called the meeting t order at one o'clock. The list of districts were
called and the returns of last Saturday's primary election were handed
in by the following gentlemen:

Mr. Philip H. Dewey, of Gaines, was unable to attend the convention,
his family being quarantined on account of the sickness of his daughter
with diphtheria. He however, sent a letter, which the Chairman read,
expressing his gratitude for nomination as a candidate for County
Commissioner and strongly presented his faith in Republican principles.
