I'm not sure if it was me that posted on the Campbell-Irish list but if so,
your John didn't fit into the Campbells that came from Aughalane. The John
that I have was born in 1866, place unknown, but assumed to be Co. Tyrone,
Upper Badoney Parish. He was unmarried and died in 1879. His father was
John Campbell, b 1828. No other John Campbells close to 1840 births. Sorry
- I keep hoping to connect with other Campbells! Good luck on the endless
search.

Can't believe that I missed your mail....I'm researching a John
Campbell...born circa 1840.......In Tyronne.....father of my grandfather,
Hugh Patrick.....John married Anna White, in NYC....(she was also from
Ireland).....my grandfather was born in 1878 any connection? I also
learned,
from an uncle...that the Campbell's coming to NYC had a relative named
Farley?????not sure of spelling, but they ran a rooming house for new Irish
immigrants.....any connection?
