Thelma,
There are clans of Campbells in many parts of Scotland - the biggest group
are in the south west Argyle. (Mine actually come from near Inverness and
their descendants live near Lough Neagh).
On a clear day, one can even see Ireland from parts of SW Scotland and there
has always been a lot of moving between the 2 land masses.
During the Plantation period, early 1600's many were moved from Scotland to
today's northern Ireland. Again after Culloden 1746, the Highlands were
'cleared' and many were sent also to Ireland, the US and Canada.
So the simple answer is Yes there are many Irish Campbells.
