I'm looking for Biddy Campbell (a male), born around 1820 and arrived in NY
on the Lydia on 2 Oct 1850. On the same ship was a male baby also called
Biddy. I suspect the wife/mother was Mary Anne Campbell who sailed on the
same ship. In addition there was a younger Mary Anne and a Rosa (born ca.
1846). I think these were all in one family. I don't know where they went
from New York but Rosa eventually ended up in Winona MN where she married
August Borchert in 1863. There was no sign of Biddy Campbell in the area.
1. Has anyone heard of the above CAMPBELLs who lived in Ireland? or know
where they came from in Ireland?
2. Is Biddy short for an alternate male name? If so, what male name?
Any help or suggestion would be welcome.

My Campbells came over at about the same time as yours from County Tyrone.
They settled in Pawtucket Village, Town of Seekonk, Bristol County,
Massachusetts, buying land there in 1853. That neighborhood is now part of
the City of Pawtucket, Providence County, Rhode Island.
None of your first names are familiar.
Sorry.
Good hunting.
