OLD BLACKSBURG CEMETERY
Blacksburg, Cherokee County, SC
By W. D. Floyd
This cemetery is located on the north side of Main Street one block east of
the center of town. You would have to try really hard to not find this
cemetery. I recorded this cemetery May 30, 1998 and I started in the
northwest corner.

ANTIOCH BAPTIST CEMETERY
Cherokee County, SC
By W. D. Floyd
To get to this cemetery from Grover, NC, take US 29 south toward Blacksburg,
SC and after you go across I-85 and its ramps take the third paved road to
the left. I t angles off to the left and is called Ballfield Rd. When you
come to the stopsign make a left turn and the cemetery will be about a mile
on the right. I started this audit August 31, 1998 and I started in the
center near the big oak tree in front of the church and went southwest.
Since this church was formed in 1814 there should be many ancestors for
everyone to find. I made every attempt to try and keep it all in rows but
this was totally impossible I even had to start making a small chalk mark to
keep up with where I was at. There are many markers that are pretty much
washed out but they are mainly children. There are quite a number of broken
markerd and lots of unmarked graves. I have tried to not miss any and
attempted to read all of them. As I said many were pretty bad so I will have
made many errors on the bad markers.
