A few months ago a relative gave me a copy of an article by the above listed
title. Unfortunately, this relative has no idea where the article was
published, when it was published, who wrote it, etc. Does anyone out there
happen to know anything about this article, "The Camps of White Oak
Plantation"? The article starts out: "Thomas Camp, an early member of the
Camp family, originally lived in virginia. He married Winefred Starling, and
12 children were born to them, eleven sons and one daughter..." and the only
notation at the end of the article (where the author's name is usually
printed) is "from Family History".
Another article listed on the same page is "The Camp Family" and it starts
out "Probably the oldest family of settlers in Polk County are those
descendants of Lawrence Camp who landed on the shores of the new world and
helped found the Jamestown Colony on the banks of the James River in the
year 1607...", by "Mabel Camp Allred". (from the rest of the article I am
guessing this is Polk County, Georgia)
I would like to know who published this article, when it was written and/or
published, and who wrote it, as well as anything else someone might be able
to tell me. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Terri Camp
