Great-great grandparents were Joseph Camp (s/o Isaac Camp & Mary Lacey) &
Hannah Perrington Smith (1811-1895). Their daughter, Mary Augusta Camp
(1839-1891) was married to John C Devine & they were my
great-grandparents.
I am seeking information about the descendants of Mary Augusta's
brothers, David Dare Camp (b. 1832), Thomas Perrington Camp (1837-1924)
and Alfred Bennett Camp (1841-1920).
David Dare Camp was married in 1857 to Mary Piatt (d/o Justin & Reumah
Piatt). They had 3 sons: Perry, Ervin, & Key; also a daughter, Myrtle who
married Tiodolf Lidberg. David owned or operated a jewelry store in
Stoughton, Dane Co. WI in the mid to late 1800's & then moved to IL.
Thomas Perrington Camp married Emma Jane Colladay 18 Apri 1865 (probably
in Stoughton or McFarland, WI). They had 3 sons: George Lacey Camp
(1866-1943) m. Mary Isabel Hardie 1892 (at least 1 dtr Isabel m Eiel
Harmon Myrland); William F. Camp (b. abt 1873) m abt 1903 (at least 1 son
Thomas); Charles Clair Camp (1880-1964) m. Dorothy DeWolf (2 sons: Robert
Clair & Walter DeWolf); & 1 dtr: Stella Camp m John Kullmer.
Alfred Bennett Camp served with a WI regiment in the Civil War & married
Lucy Thompson about 1868 (probably in Missouri). They had 6 children:
Bertha, Clara, Hugh (a dentist), Ella (nurse) m Riley Russell (doctor)
Ella & Riley spent time working in Korea. Myra m Frank Brown, & Joseph
(doctor).
I have been in contact with a descendant of Thomas Perrington Camp's son,
Charles Clair Camp, and a descendant of Alfred Bennett Camp's daughter,
Myra Camp Brown, but would like to hear from descendants of other
grandchildren of Joseph Camp & Hannah Smith.
